Over a century of service, community, and heritage in the Clarks Fork Valley.
Built as the Fromberg Opera Hall
The building was constructed in 1908 to serve as an Opera Hall and Community Center for the growing town of Fromberg, Montana. It quickly became the heart of cultural and civic life in the Clarks Fork Valley.
Purchased by Clarks Fork Post 71
American Legion Clarks Fork Post 71 purchased the building in 1940, transforming it into a meeting hall and continuing its legacy as a community gathering place for veterans and their families.
Listed on the National Historic Register
The building is proudly listed on the National Historic Register under the name Fromberg Opera Hall, recognizing its architectural and cultural significance to the region and the nation.

Service, Honor, Community
American Legion Clarks Fork Post 71 has been a cornerstone of our community for generations. We are a gathering place for veterans, their families, and neighbors who believe in service, honor, and taking care of one another.
The American Legion was founded in 1919 by veterans of World War I. Today, Post 71 carries on that tradition — advocating for veterans, supporting military families, and strengthening the bonds of our community in Fromberg, Montana.
